About Event

Government College of Engineering, Amravati in its 51st year is very enthusiastic in organizing its Eleventh Technical Festival, Prajwalan'16,
a National Level Technical Extravaganza, one of the largest technical festivals in Central India on 26th -27th February 2016. We belong to the prestigious Government College of Engineering, Amravati (an autonomous institute of Government of Maharashtra) which is a center of excellence in teaching, research, innovations and management of technology of global standards and tries to use technology for the overall upliftment of society. And this institute has the reputation of helping talented brains to be a part of famous companies like ONGC, BPCL, Wipro, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries and the list goes on. Also, this institute has been instrumental in building and developing India through Civil Services and Defense Sector. There are many students who have joined IPS, IFS, IAS, DRDO, Indian Army, Indian Air force, Indian Navy and other research sectors like BARC, ISRO and HCL laboratories.

Over the years, Prajwalan has evolved from being just a technical festival to a unique platform fostering fellowship among the engineering fraternity, facilitating exchange of knowledge and creative ideas, and bringing out the challenges and opportunities in the field of engineering. With an expected footfall of 15000+ visitors (mostly of the age group 18-25 years) from across India, Prajwalan '15 is the largest of its kind in the region. From cut throat competitions to innovative paper presentations, from mesmerizing exhibitions and lectures on ground-breaking technologies to interactive workshops and panel discussions, Prajwalan '16 has something for everyone.

Accommodation

For the purpose of accommodation of students from outside of Amravati including both girls and boys, college hostel is available for accommodation. Since there is no option for accommodation nearby the college hence college decided to provide accommodation facility to students from outside Amravati in college hostels. The hostels are in college campus itself, so no need travel for long distances plus there will be no inconvenience for participants regarding event timings.
